Indonesia Masuk 4 Besar Negara Terindah di Dunia

Inilah bukti tersohornya keindahan Indonesia di mata dunia. Negeri kita tercinta menempati posisi ke-4 negara terindah di dunia, berdasarkan survei pengguna Twitter dan Pinterest lewat sebuah situs asal Britania Raya.

Bagaimana kita tak bangga mengetahui Indonesia menempati posisi ke-4 dalam survei negara terindah di dunia. Survei ini dilakukan oleh First Choice, sebuah situs perusahaan travel asal Britania Raya. Dalam situs resmi surveinya yang dilihat detikTravel, Senin (21/5/2012), First Choice meminta para traveler untuk berpartisipasi dalam dua jejaring sosial yakni Twitter dan Pinterest.

Hasilnya, Latvia yang berada di Eropa bagian Provinsi Baltik menempati posisi pertama. Dilanjutkan oleh Meksiko, Turki, lalu Indonesia. Britania Raya sendiri menempati posisi kelima. Selanjutnya, ada lebih dari 100 negara lain hingga posisi terakhir ditempati oleh Sudan. Survei ini baru saja berakhir pada 1 Mei 2012 lalu.

Bayangkan saja, Indonesia berada di posisi lebih tinggi daripada negara-negara yang terkenal indah seperti Italia, Selandia Baru, Kanada, Kroasia, bahkan Swiss dan Prancis! Survei ini berhasil membuktikan pada dunia bahwa Indonesia adalah negeri yang sangat kaya, serta jadi destinasi favorit para turis dari berbagai negara.

Russia opens criminal case on Sukhoi accident | The Jakarta Post

A Russian investigative commission has opened a criminal case pertaining to the crash of a Sukhoi Super Jet 100 during a demonstration flight on Wednesday.

Committee spokesman Vladimir Markin said the commission started the investigation into the plane crash on Thursday.

“Researchers need to analyze [the compliance of] aircraft crew training procedures before the flight as part of criminal case investigation, and need to determine the technical condition of the plane before it left Russia,” he was quoted as saying Antara news agency.

The investigation would also look into the technicians who prepared the plane for the demo flight and Sukhoi Civil Aircraft employees responsible for the Sukhoi project, he said.

The Russia-made aircraft, which took off from Halim Perdanakusuma Airport in East Jakarta, went missing on Wednesday afternoon.

An Air Force helicopter found the wreckage of the crash at 9:15 a.m. on Thursday, at a height of 5,500 feet, in the foothills of Mt. Salak in Cidahu, Sukabumi, West Java.

The plane, which carried 45 passengers during its demonstration flight, was found to have suffered “major damages”.

A search and rescue team is expected to start recovering bodies from the crash site today. (mtq)
